Summer Camp at Stages - 3rd floor of the West Herr Performing Arts Center. In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland.

The Strong Museum Summer Camp offers unique museum-based learning experiences that will spark the imagination and allow campers to learn and discover through play and exploration. Each week campers will be provided with one-of-a-kind learning opportunities engaging with different museum professionals and exhibits along with teacher-led classroom time to further investigate and expand on these themes.

OFC’s kid camp shows are typically 60-minutes in length and include full cast musical numbers as well as opportunities to feature soloists, specialty dancers, and supporting characters. Oftentimes these are Junior (Jr.) productions which are a 60-minute version of a full Broadway show, the Jr. versions reduce verses in long songs, cut subplots or unneeded musical numbers, and make the scripts easy to read and memorize for student performers.

OFC’s teen intensive program (or Pre-Professional Program) is geared towards students considering a future career in the performing arts. This camp is an “intensive” where the show is auditioned, rehearsed, and performed in a short time period. Those auditioning and registering for Pre-Professional Teen programs should be prepared to commit themselves to a rigorous rehearsal procecess with the expectation of work being done at home and outside of the rehearsal room.

No experience needed! Immerse your child in a world of creativity through music, art, and movement. Guided by expert instructors and guest artists, each themed session sparks imagination and concludes with a Friday performance. Experience the vibrant music of Bali in this five-day Gamelan Workshop, open to students in grades 6 and up, including adults. Participants will learn traditional Balinese music on gamelan angklung through oral/aural instruction, developing fundamental techniques and an appreciation for non-Western musical aesthetics. This is a non-residential, in-person program.

This Summer Session offers 5 weekly 45-minute classes for Early Childhood students, with placements in either the 9 a.m., 10 a.m., or 11 a.m. slot based on age group. Parents will receive class time and location details via email or phone by the Saturday before the session starts. Due to limited spaces, no refunds will be given once enrolled.

This 5-week course (10 sessions) covers classical and musical theater singing techniques, song preparation, performance practices, and vocal health, culminating in a performance at Kilbourn Hall. Open to performers and observers ages 17 and up, participants must submit a singing recording and repertoire list for casting purposes upon registration.

4 DAY INTENSIVE *Competition Team Summer Requirement* The Studio K Dance Intensive is open to dancers with 2+ years of dance experience and will be split into two groups based on experience level. Throughout the intensive, dancers will train their technique, style, and strength in a variety of dance genres including: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and dance conditioning.
