AutismUp
AutismUp is the leading 501(c)3 autism advocacy organization in Rochester and the surrounding areas. Founded in 2004, by a small group of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, AutismUp has grown to include more than 1000 families and more than 300 professional members. Our mission is to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and their families, by expanding and enhancing opportunities to improve quality of life. We provide information, advocacy, parent and child support, classes, summer camps, and a lot more.
Rochester Childfirst Network
RCN (Accredited Preschool) has a vision that every child grows up safe and strong able to achieve his or her full potential. With experienced teachers and a cutting-edge curriculum, RCN nurtures and educates children through play. RCN’s inclusive and integrated programs include Infant,Toddler and Preschool programs (6 weeks – 4yrs.) including UPK, Special Education program from (Birth to age 5); a School-Age Wrap-Around program (Grades K-6); a Summer Camp (Grades K-6); Family Child Care program that offers training and special services to more than 200 home based child care providers with workshops on child development, health and safety along with NYS Licensing assistance and CACFP (food program) registration. Seneca Park Zoo
One free caregiver admitted for individuals with special needsBe transported around the world as you come face to face with Masai giraffes, red pandas, African elephants, a southern white rhino, California sea lions, and much more. Enjoy the brand new Animals of the Savanna, feed the giraffes, play in the Tropics Adventure Zone, and enjoy the tram which transports you from the front of the Zoo to the back.
We welcome one free caregiver for individuals who need additional support or assistance in order to enjoy the Zoo. Members: Guests must notify the front gate staff at the time of check in that they are with a caregiver. The guest needs to make a reservation in advance, but the caregiver does not. Non-members: The individual should purchase a Timed Admission Ticket online. At the time of check-in, the guest must let the Admissions staff know that they are with a caregiver in order for the caregiver to be admitted free of charge.
