This workshop is open to all skill levels, covering fundamentals like posture, hand technique, and basic chords, as well as simple improvisation. For intermediate mandolin players, it focuses on skills like playing in second and third position, tremolo, glide strokes, and ensemble playing. Participants will also improve their musicianship through group performance.

This one-week, non-residential piano intensive for grades 3-7 offers solo and ensemble workshops, practice and performance technique sessions, history lessons, and daily Dalcroze musicianship classes. This five-day Wind Ensemble Workshop is for students in grades 8–12, with high school graduates of Spring 2025 and local college music majors or minors eligible to enroll at no cost. The workshop is open to Level 5 and 6 NYSSMA soloists on all wind, brass, and percussion instruments, culminating in a Friday concert of contemporary and traditional works. Early enrollment is encouraged due to limited instrumentation in some sections.
