YMCA of Greater Rochester
The YMCA of Greater Rochester offers a variety of youth sports programs, including basketball, soccer, football and gymnastics. With a variety of options, there is a sport for every kid, at any level, to play. The Y’s programs teach kids life skills such as being a team player and the importance of participation over winning. Youth sports are a great opportunity for kids meet new friends, try new sports and build upon the basic skills they already have.
Roc BoxingStep into the ring for fun and fitness!
Our youth boxing programs build self-confidence, instill overall self-discipline – and they’re lots of fun! Our eight-week programs teach proper boxing stance, footwork, individual/combination punching, defense skills, blocks and slips. Workouts include heavy bag punching, target mitt work, and situation sparring along with excellent conditioning - rope jumping, calisthenics, plyometric drills, and flat and hill runs. Class size is limited to 10 students ages 8-16.
