Seneca Park Zoo
Seneca Park Zoo offers a special needs camp for children ages 5 and 6 the week of July 20 and for ages 7 to 9 the week of August 17. Three counselors support a maximum of 15 children. This camp is tailored specifically for children with special needs who would benefit from additional support. If your child can participate in camp but requires individual assistance with communication, behavior support, or ADLs, contact the Zoo about arranging to have your own aide attend with your child, so they may have the most inclusive experience possible. EquiCenter
Join us this summer and let the adventure begin! Experience hands-on horse time, crafts, nature activities, games, team-building, and more. Participants will build a bond with our gentle horses through grooming, feeding, riding, and understanding their behavior. We will also spend time on our farm, planting, harvesting, and learning about our ecosystem while soaking in the fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings. Program weeks are themed and designed for particular age groups, from children to teens to young adults. Some of our themed weeks include gourmet week, artist week, sports week, and horse care week! This unique opportunity is open to people of all abilities.
