Learn to swim at the JCC!
Great instructors and a beautiful pool! Enroll your child in a learn-to-swim program in the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester's newly renovated pool. Classes meet weekly, with multiple class times/days to choose from. Instruction starts at 10 months old to encourage comfort in the pool. Red Cross Levels 1-5 are taught to older kids by certified instructors. All classes are 8 weeks in length and begin the week of September 13. Roc BoxingStep into the ring for fun and fitness!
Our youth boxing programs build self-confidence, instill overall self-discipline – and they’re lots of fun! Our eight-week programs teach proper boxing stance, footwork, individual/combination punching, defense skills, blocks and slips. Workouts include heavy bag punching, target mitt work, and situation sparring along with excellent conditioning - rope jumping, calisthenics, plyometric drills, and flat and hill runs. Class size is limited to 10 students ages 8-16.
The goal and mission of Perform Athletix is to provide a fun and exciting health and wellness experience to all walks of life. We use a Crossfit methodology because of its way of improving fitness through a community environment. Injury prevention and rehabilitation are a major component of who we are.
