With the GCV&M Historic Village as the setting for adventure, campers dressed in period clothing are immersed in the lives and times of young people of the 19th-century. Campers discover the Pioneer Farm, sample Village life, or dive deeper into 19th century trades, skills, and traditions.

Budding naturalists and outdoor adventurers will love exploring more than 550 acres of environmental preserve. Campers gain valuable knowledge of the natural world through hands-on exploration of the Nature Center ponds, woodlands, and meadows. Play in the creek, catch your first fish, hike the trails, or learn how to build a campfire.

Have fun learning open-hearth cooking during this hands-on class for girls and boys. Explore the museum gardens, and bring seasonal ingredients back to the kitchen. Learn how to correctly build a fire for open-hearth cooking and make simple 19th-century dishes. During the week students will also make their very own receipt (recipe) book to bring home.

Why do birds fly, frogs hop, and ladybugs have spots? Which animals build nests in trees, dig holes in the ground, sleep in the forest or live in a pond? We will hone our skills with the magnifying glasses and binoculars as we find out the answers to these questions and more! Join us as we explore the fascinating lives of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects through stories, crafts, and other fun activities.

Amazing amphibians are all around us, you just need to know where to look! Spend a week searching the woodlands and ponds for these cold-blooded creatures around the nature center, where they are known to live. Learn how to safely locate, document, and protect each species. Use field guides, nets and magni-viewers to study them up close. Listen to stories, sing songs, create salamander crafts, and more!

The fun never stops as campers explore their curiosity and find answers to their questions using the museum as their guide. The Warrior Factory Ninja Camp will include structured and unstructured activities that range from training techniques, open gym play, Ninja games (obstacle tag, N-I-N-J-A, Follow the Ninja, Warrior Wall Knockout), obstacle courses, and some Ninja-related activities (design a course, obstacle, t-shirt, etc.). Weeklong camps July 13-August 21: Join us for a fun-filled camp (full and half day) with a focus on the art of sword fighting. Full Day Camp (9AM to 3PM) teaches the skills of the Olympic sport of fencing, martial arts, stage combat, and more. Half Day Camp will be fencing only (9AM to 12PM). This camp is designed for individuals between 8 and 14 years of age and for anyone without any previous experience, or anyone interested in brushing up on their fencing and martial arts skills!

Themed Ninja Warrior Summer Camp Train like a Ninja. Play like a kid.  Get ready for the ultimate themed summer Ninja Warrior adventure! Our Summer camp is designed for kids who love to move, climb, jump, and challenge themselves in exciting new ways. 

The program is offered for children 5 years and up, for the first time riders to the intermediate. Participants will learn all aspects of horse husbandry including grooming, tacking, riding lessons each day and feeding. A “horse” type craft will be worked on during the afternoon along with other fun activities involved with horses!

Father/Son Weekend is the time where boys (and dads!) can be boys! Partnering with families to help boys develop into strong, healthy men is one mission of Falling Creek. A critical part of this journey is the relationship a son has with his father. A Father/Son Weekend is the perfect time for dads and sons in kindergarten through high school to spend quality time together.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again.

CCS offers small-boat sailing instruction for youths ages 7 – 18. Help your kids discover the joy of sailing – it can last a lifetime! Canandaigua Community Sailing was created in 2017 to focus on connecting with the Canandaigua community. CCS is a place for both kids and adults to learn how to sail and race.
