Students in grades 6-10 are invited to participate in The Drowsy Chaperone JR, performing Feb 7-9, 2025. Info session and auditions are Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 4pm. The Drowsy Chaperone JR. is a Broadway Junior adaptation of the award-winning musical, providing a hilarious satire of the Golden Age musical with an array of colorful characters and comedic musical numbers. The story centers on a man who shares his favorite 1928 musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, with the audience. As he plays the record, the musical springs to life in his apartment, showcasing a lively ensemble of characters: a soon-to-be-wed couple, a bumbling best man, a desperate theater producer, an eccentric hostess, gangsters in disguise, a misguided romantic, and a drowsy chaperone. This show offers an ideal opportunity for young performers, especially those with a flair for musical comedy.

One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until, at the last, nerve-shredding moment, the identity and the motive are finally revealed. The Mousetrap is the world’s longest-running play!

Home Remedy features original songs by Lydia Garrison written on fiddle, banjo, and guitar, paired with Rosie Newton’s emotive and powerful singing and playing on fiddle, accordion, and guitar. They both come from the old-time music tradition, which means they know how to put their heads down and get in the groove with fast and rocking fiddle and banjo tunes. Besides the original songs and old-time and Cajun fiddle tunes, they sprinkle in a few songs from the folk canon. They put their hearts into their music and find a deep joy in it.

The Cognitive Neurophysiology Lab is recruiting children and adults with and without autism! Help us better understand visual and auditory perception in individuals with and without autism by participating in our research. Here, participants may be asked to complete cognitive testing, and look/listen to objects/sounds while we monitor brain activity with electroencephalography (EEG) or brain imaging (MRI). Participants will be compensated for their time.
