Students in grades 6-10 are invited to participate in The Drowsy Chaperone JR, performing Feb 7-9, 2025. Info session and auditions are Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 4pm. The Drowsy Chaperone JR. is a Broadway Junior adaptation of the award-winning musical, providing a hilarious satire of the Golden Age musical with an array of colorful characters and comedic musical numbers. The story centers on a man who shares his favorite 1928 musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, with the audience. As he plays the record, the musical springs to life in his apartment, showcasing a lively ensemble of characters: a soon-to-be-wed couple, a bumbling best man, a desperate theater producer, an eccentric hostess, gangsters in disguise, a misguided romantic, and a drowsy chaperone. This show offers an ideal opportunity for young performers, especially those with a flair for musical comedy.
