The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual worldwide video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery-winning books in just a few minutes (and adult help is okay). The best submissions are featured at raucous annual screenings in New York City, Chicago, San Antonio, Minneapolis, Tacoma WA, Rochester NY, Ogden UT, and other cities—co-hosted by founder James Kennedy (author of the YA fantasy "The Order of Odd-Fish" and more) and other award-winning children’s authors.
