Transform into cast and crew to make your own short film based on a Newbery Medal-winning book! With access to St John Fisher University’s state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, you will learn how to run cameras, set up lights, operate audio equipment, direct, and edit. You’ll get an insider’s look at a college campus as you shoot on location throughout. Oh, and did we mention you’ll be the writers and stars of the movie too? On Friday, lunch will be provided by the university, and that afternoon we’ll have a red carpet premiere for friends and family. The film will be submitted to the national 90-second Newbery Film Festival with screenings across the country, including in Rochester! Find out more about the film fest at 90secondnewbery.com.
