Pirate Toy Fund

The Rochester region's charity collects toys for needy kids and distributes them especially during the holidays, but also all year round.

Donate a new, unwrapped toy to the Pirate Toy Fund!

Readers who donate to the Pirate Toy Fund's drive should email us that they have done so, and we will put their name and town on the Pirate Toy Fund Wall of Fame.

The Pirate Toy Fund is the only nonprofit organization in the country dedicated to donating toys year round to children in need in our community.

Located in Rochester, NY and founded by local children's entertainer, Gary The Happy Pirate, the Pirate Toy Fund has distributed 200,000 toys since the year 2000 and continues to actively pursue new avenues to expand their mission.

The Pirate Toy Fund special holiday toy drive is focused during the week after Thanksgiving; help them meet their goal that week! Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the special boxes at Rochester-area Wegmans and also at the National Museum of Play at The Strong that week, and through the holidays. A great idea: Don't go through the hassle of returning unwanted holiday gifts when you can easily donate them to the Pirate Toy Fun and know you're making one of our area's needy kids happy!

Toys can be donated all year round!

This makes for a wonderful way that kids can get involved in the good of their community. How about organizing a toy drive amongst a group of friends, any time of the year. See http://www.PirateToyFund.org for more details.

Toys On Patrol

The Pirate Toy Fund supplies the toys to the Rochester City police officers on patrol. When they are in a situation that could be helped by giving a kid a toy, they reach into their toy chest in their cars and find one. A wonderful way to help kids in our community: Please donate to the Pirate Toy Fund now to help this terrific program thrive! TOP Logo.jpg
