A not for profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for residents of the Town and Village of Palmyra by providing a variety of wholesome recreation and leisure programs, facilities, and services for all ages est. 1945

Palmyra was selected as a host city for the National Gus Macker Basketball Tournament June 14th through 16th this year.

Gus Macker Basketball Tournaments, held nationally, are wholesome, family-oriented community events. The Gus Macker organization is committed to providing opportunities for not for profit organizations in each community to benefit. All proceeds from the event will go to the Palmyra Community Center and will benefit other organizations such as the American Legion, The Rotary & Lions Club, the Boy scouts, the Girl Scouts, and the local 4H Club.

The tournament is designed so that people of all ages and abilities can play-- bringing thousands of players and spectators to the community from Buffalo to Syracuse. This unique opportunity presents businesses with the opportunity to increase sales through marketing, attract new customers and provides an opportunity to join us in a community event.

The games will be played at the PCC, and thanks to the support and cooperation of the Wayne County Fair Board, players, families and fans will be allowed to park and camp at the Fairgrounds for a fee. This provides your business with the opportunity to reach a new group of people who will be traveling to Palmyra from all areas.
