A summer math experience for students entering eighth grade held at RIT.
Summer Math Applications in Science with Hands-On (SMASH) Experience for Girls is design to engage K-12 students in STEM. This week-long experience will bring 40 rising 8th grader onto RIT’s campus to work on mathematical modeling projects---designed to show the usefulness of mathematics in everyday life---and self-affirmation activities---created to increase self-efficacy in mathematics.
