Contained Within Our Mission Statement Are Four Key Goals:
…Cultivate a joyful spirit of inquiry…
We believe that children are given the gift of curiosity and joy by their Creator and that too often this desire to unravel the thread of an idea is lost during the school years.
We cannot teach them everything they will need to know for life, but we can encourage their joyful spirits and give them the tools to take on any body of knowledge they encounter both in school and out. By graduating as lifelong learners, our students will be able to pursue any path they take and adapt to an ever-changing world.
… Into God and His creation…
We believe that God is true, good, and beautiful, and that we encounter truth, goodness, and beauty when we study Him and His creation.
When students do their own creative work, our goal is that they be able to do so with these elements of truth, goodness, and beauty in their hearts and minds. We believe these attributes can also be encountered in the works of non-Christians so long as they are appreciated through the lens of a biblical worldview.
…With wisdom, virtue, and eloquence…
We seek to send our students out into the world with the ability to discern truth from falsehood in the information they encounter because knowledge divorced from truth is a recipe for disaster.
We desire our students to have the tools and the enthusiasm to engage others with winsome and compelling communication. Curriculum rooted in the liberal arts and the sciences tradition will equip them to interact with others intelligently, displaying the dignity and wisdom bestowed upon them by God.
…They can engage the world for Christ with godly character.
Educating children at RCA is a way for us to love the Lord and others by raising up students whose lives point back to Christ and who seek to infuse our culture with justice, mercy, humility, and decency. We believe our mission will affect not only our students, but also our teachers, our administrators, our parents, and our community of partners.
