- Tabletop Therapy will offer a nurturing space where individuals can explore and express their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through various tabletop activities. Rooted in the principles of mental health support and creative expression, this group will provide a unique avenue for self-discovery and growth.In each session, participants will be invited to engage in a variety of tabletop activities tailored to promote relaxation, mindfulness, and self-reflection. From therapeutic art projects to collaborative board games, the group offers a diverse range of activities designed to cater to different interests and preferences.Facilitated by our Interns, Tabletop Therapy will foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can connect with others, share their stories, and learn coping strategies. Supervised Video Game Play
Gameplay is a unique group that harnesses the potential of video games as a therapeutic tool to promote mental health and well-being. In this innovative approach, participants engage in supervised video game play sessions under the guidance of experienced mental health professionals. Mindfulness
Description of what Mindfulness is:
- Mindfulness is the practice of intentionally bringing one's attention to the present moment without judgment. It involves cultivating awareness of one's thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment with openness and acceptance. At its core, mindfulness encourages individuals to observe their experiences as they arise, acknowledging them without attachment or aversion. This heightened awareness enables individuals to respond to life's challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and compassion. Mindfulness practices can take many forms, including meditation, mindful breathing, body scan exercises, and mindful movement (such as yoga or tai chi).
