Bach to Rock Music School's Toddler Rock N Roll Program
Bach to Rock Penfield

Rock n Roll is a high-energy and stimulating music and movement class for toddlers and their grown-up. This seven week program contains a variety of music and movement based activities with age-appropriate themes and musical selections. Children will experience the developmental benefits of music in a setting that makes it fun for them as well as for mom, dad or caregiver!

Moving to Music

Whether they're a buzzing bee or a shooting rock star, your toddler will learn to listen and move to music, developing their locomotor skills and active listening capabilities. Babies will enjoy moving and grooving with their caregiver in a sensory-rich environment!

Sing Alongs

Sing-along songs are a perfect way to incorporate musical routines into class and at home! Whether it's singing the 'clean up song' after instrument exploration or helping clean up the toys back at home, children from a very early age respond positively to music and song in their daily routines.

Instrument Exploration

Using age-appropriate instruments, such as shakers and hand-bells, babies and toddlers will enjoy exploring exciting new sounds and developing their active listening skills!

Active Listening/Story Time

For each class, a different theme-related story will be told, offering opportunities for movement and memory-based activities related to the story/theme.

Group Activities

Group dances and musical activities are great ways to improve coordination, boost confidence, and build life-long friendships!

All activities include appropriate movement options for toddlers and caregiver/babies.

Chef’s Table Family Meal classes
New York Kitchen

Join us at New York Kitchen for a great family meal! Come create a perfect Sunday dining experience under the professional guidance of our Chef Instructor. Learn strong culinary fundamentals as you slice, dice, saute, and roast your way to a delightful dinner. Bring the kids and leave the cleanup to us!

We recommend children ages 12 and up join us.

New York Kitchen is taking measures to ensure the safety of all guests and staff in our classes as well as throughout our building. We have implemented new operating procedures in our classes to follow the mandated guidelines from the CDC. These include: Class capacity has been reduced from 24 to 12 guests maximum, at least 6-feet of distance between families, hand sanitizers and disinfectants readily available throughout the classroom and building, gloves will be provided, and guests must wear their own facial covering.

We want to give guests the best experience possible while holding health and sanitation as a top priority. To do this, New York Kitchen has altered the model of our popular hands-on cooking classes; guests are now given the opportunity to select the recipes they would like to cook in class ahead of time. This will allow guests and Chef Instructors to perform classes at the same length of time, instruction, and interaction in a safe manner.

Please be sure when signing up for a class that you are selecting the correct recipe you would like to cook in class. Our friendly front desk representatives will confirm this when calling one-week prior to the class date. New York Kitchen looks forward to welcoming you all back and wish you and your families good health.

School of Rock Performance-Based Music Programs Rock Socializing— With Social Distancing

Kids have been inspired in the School of Rock community for the last 8 and half years, learning music by playing music– together. Through programs designed for all skill levels, students go from lessons and rehearsal to performance– developing confidence, talent and teamwork skills along the way. Students, ages 7 to 18 engage in a private, one-on-one lesson. Those weekly lessons come with a bonus: the chance to be a rock star. Once enrolled, students become part of a band as well, and play in a socially distanced rehearsal each week. Bands are determined by skill level and age. They practice together for a season (about 4 months) and then play a show. This unique approach allows students to use what they learn from their teacher in the real-world setting of a band, comprised of their peers. They learn to rock on stage and in life.

School of Rock community members also have access to our one-of-a-kind, fully integrated Method app. The App provides an enhanced learning experience and reinforced practice schedule. Parents and students know what should be worked on and progress can be tracked.

Dec 7 - 19, Mon & Weds, 6 - 8pm, Sat 9:00am - 11:00am

Directed by Dianne Schaumberg

Tuition: $200

THE STORY: This is a touching and beautiful story of a young couple unable to afford presents for each other on their first Christmas together. Each sacrifices a treasure to provide a gift for the other but, in so doing, they work at almost tragically funny cross-purposes. This is a play about young love and the value of giving. Indeed, the Magi were wise—and their gifts were wise gifts, however foolish in the eyes of the practical.
