Join Brighton Recs Granny Square Community Service Group! Together we'll work to make a crocheted granny square blanket to donate to a local shelter.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Learn the basics of crochet while creating something meaningful for our community! In this hands-on program, participants will learn foundational crochet skills through the classic granny square, including how to hold a hook and yarn, make basic stitches, change colors, and build a square.
Once everyone has the basics down, we’ll work together to create a stash of granny squares throughout the session. Once we have enough, the squares will be stitched together into cozy blankets that will be donated to a local shelter or community organization.
Previous crochet experience is welcome but not required!
