Do you have a favorite trail in the Rochester area? Consider how the plants cluster and repeat, how they change seasonally, observe the smells and textures and the animal interactions. Sarah Sutton, owner of Spicebush Swallowtail Nursery and member of Color Pittsford Green, will talk on finding inspiration within the layers of local natural areas and native ecosystems. From pocket meadows and woodland gardens to forest patches, taking your design cues from functioning ecosystems can support maximum wildlife through food and habitat while delighting in beauty.
