Thursday Night Contra | Kids Out and About Rochester

Thursday Night Contra

Contra dancing is a folk community dance that is inter-generational. No experience or partner is required, this dance is open to everyone and all ages. It is a substance and fragrance free environment. They are 7:30-10PM every Thursday in the South Wedge, with a newcomer's lesson at 7PM. $12 suggested.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

This Thursday the caller will be Rachel Ameen, with live music by Good Strings Trio!

All dances are taught and called, so if you can walk - you can dance! Fun for the whole family, a night with friends, or a solo adventure. This is a community dance so in contra dancing, we switch partners frequently, but children and parents are welcome to remain as partners during the dance.
