Join Hipocampo for an Irrational Celebration of Math!
Pi (π ) is a mathematical constant and the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It is an irrational number, meaning it is a decimal with no end and no repeating patterns. It cannot be expressed exactly as a ratio of two numbers–this is why its decimal representation is infinite.
On Pi Day (3.14), we'll be celebrating the irrationality of math! With guest educator and math teacher Blake Harriman, we'll be playing math games, having tons of fun AND EATING PIE!!!
Join us for this wonderful free event, made possible by the Rochester Museum and Science Center
