DAY 1 SAFETY AROUND HORSES, HORSE BREEDS AND COLORS
DAY 2 HORSE BODY PARTS, HOOF PARTS AND CARE
DAY 3 HORSE DENTAL CARE, DIGESTION, AND FEEDING
DAY 4 RIDING STYLES AND EQUIPMENT, GROOMING, TACKING, UNTACKING
DAY 5 OPEN FOR TOPICS THAT CHILDREN ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT,
OR FOR ANY TOPICS THAT WE DIDN’T COMPLETE ALONG WITH DISTRIBUTION OF
COURSE CERTIFICATES
THIS COURSE IS AN INTRODUCTION TO HORSES, THEIR CARE, AND RIDING. EACH CLASS WILL HAVE APPROXIMATELY 40 MINUTES OF INTERACTIVE INSTRUCTION ON THE TOPICS LISTED BELOW. AT THE END OF CLASS, STUDENTS ENJOY TIME SPENT OUTDOORS SURROUNDED BY OUR PEACEFUL FARM SCAPE WHILE COMPLETING WORKSHEETS TO REINFORCE THE LESSONS OF THE DAY.
