Spotted Lanternfly Puzzles and Pizza

The Spotted Lanternfly is the next bad news bug on the horizon for the Finger Lakes region. While this insect is beautifully marked and brightly colored, it is an incredibly destructive invasive species that loves to feed on plants including grapevines, fruit trees, and hop vines. They likely found their way to the United States by way of cargo shipped overseas from China and were first detected in Pennsylvania (2014). This is a family-friendly event that will feature crafts, activities, and build-your-own Spotted Lanternfly pizzas! Each child will get a 3-D Spotted Lanternfly MakerKid Kit (Idea Collective Learning) to take home, provided by the Finger Lakes Institute.

Please note: Meet at Montezuma Audubon Center (2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY). Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to use the restroom and check-in. The program will promptly begin at 6:30 p.m.
