Seneca Park Zoo
The Zoo leads conservation efforts locally, regionally and internationally. The Zoo is home to a five-acre Animals of the Savanna area that brings guests face-to-face with Masai giraffes, plains zebras, naked mole rats, a southern white rhino, and many other species native to the African Savanna. African lions, olive baboons, goats, and African elephants that reside in A Step Into Africa inspire guests to care about the Ngorongoro Crate, a unique conservation area in Tanzania.
A stop in the Creatures from the River's Edge building introduces visitors to the playful North American river otter and living dinosaurs, the lake sturgeon, which help convey stories of successful species reintroduction into the Genesee River.
Visit the California sea lions, polar bear, and African penguins at Rocky Coasts Gallery, before heading to see the red pandas and snow leopards in the Cold Asia area right next to the animal hospital.
The Trailside Café offers Zoo visitors a new contemporary food service amenity with indoor and outdoor seating. Featuring locally sourced foods and grab and go items, the café will also be available for private events outside of Zoo hours. Sustainable design features and practices bring the Zoo’s conservation mission into this exciting new space.
The Zoo is open all year long. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
