Families purchase shares (or half-shares, or bimonthly shares) of produce that is either picked up or delivered to them, fresh from the farm, each week during the growing season. Some farms encourage pick-your-own, in some you get to help out on the farm. What a great field-to-table lesson for the whole family!

The Wickham Farms CSA Harvest Share is a great way for the family to get up close and friendly with the food they eat while enjoying the freshest local produce! Wickham Farms offers four different share plans to fit the needs nearly every family. Two of the shares include u-pick flowers, herbs and bonus quantities of certain veggies, which provides extra value as well as a fun, educational experience for kids. Learn more.
G and S Orchards
In addition to pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, cherries, apples, and pumpkins at their beautiful farm in Walworth, NY, G and S Orchards offers a wonderful CSA with weekly pickup shares. Purchasing a share or a half share gives the share holder (on a weekly basis once the picking season starts) the freshest possible produce grown by the farmer. Lagoner Farms is well-known for pick-your-own apples and fall farm activities, but they also have a great CSA, with pickup on Saturdays at the farm in Williamson or at the Fairport or Greece farmer's markets, or at the Irondequoit or South Wedge markets on Thursdays.
