Youth Inclusive Wheelchair Basketball

Come join a lively group of youth playing a fantastic sport — wheelchair basketball! The Rochester Rockets are an inclusive youth basketball program for youth ages 9-18 with and without disabilities. All athletes play in sports chairs and will learn to self-propel and play.
Coached by athletes from the Rochester Wheels adult NWBA Div III team, The Rockets will develop skills for playing the game, engage in team development, build confidence and self-esteem, and set goals for themselves as individuals and as team players.
RAA’s CommunityPal Volunteers assist with the program and engage with the youth for getting practices set up and started and put away at the end of each practice.
We will be setting up scrimmage games with our friends in Buffalo, the Buffalo Rims youth group. Dates to be announced!
Registration is required. Paper copies will be available on site.
Cost: The cost per player is $10 per session. A session includes 5-8 practices. The Open House is FREE for all, and we will begin taking registration fees at that point. Cash or check payments accepted. Checks should be made out to Rochester Accessible Adventures.
