Meet the UR Medicine Breast Imaging Team
- Get to know the radiologists who read your mammogram. Learn exactly what it is that they’re looking for and see what breast cancer looks like.
Learn the Facts about Dense Breasts
- Having dense breasts is not an abnormal condition; in fact, nearly half of all women over 40 have dense breasts. Learn about the diagnosis, causes, and proper screening methods for women with dense breast tissue.
Am I at Risk? There’s No Family History.
- Learn the truth. While women who have a family history of breast cancer are in a higher risk group, most women who have breast cancer have no family history. Dr. Avice O’Connell will discuss the reasons why family history isn’t always that important.
