WXXI Kids' Nature Fest

WXXI Kids, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and our partners invite families and people of all ages to come out to Seneca Park to explore nature!

Join WXXI Kids at Seneca Park for day of family fun! Participate in nature walks, make observations about nature for a WXXI’s Nature Challenge and the Seneca Park Zoo’s City Nature Challenge, do natural arts & crafts, and meet PBS KIDS Nature Cat! We’ll also be learning what citizen science is, how it helps inform local issues, and showing how families can participate in simple citizen science projects. Where: Seneca Park - 2222 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY 14621 When: Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Note: Since we'll be spending time outdoors, please come dressed appropriately for the weather. Some of the activities will be outside, some will be inside, but there will be limited space indoors. Also, since we'll be taking families on guided nature walks with experts, please wear appropriate footwear - coats, gloves, hats, sneakers, hiking boots, winter boots, etc. This event is part of the "Nature: American Spring LIVE" outreach project. "Nature" is a production of THIRTEEN PRODUCTIONS LLC for WNET and PBS. "American Spring LIVE" is a production of Berman Productions, Inc. and THIRTEEN PRODUCTIONS LLC for WNET. Major support for "Nature: American Spring LIVE" is provided by the National Science Foundation and Anne Ray Foundation. Local support provided by: Cobblestone Capital Advisors. "Nature: American Spring LIVE" premieres on April 29-May 1 at 8 p.m. on WXXI-TV.
