The Creative Workshop is partnering with Writers & Books for these all-day camps taught by two master teaching artists—a writer and a visual artist. In both, students will spend mornings at Writers & Books (just up the street from MAG) and afternoons at the Creative Workshop and be walked by teaching assistants between sites during the lunch hour. This camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm and is for ages 9 to 13 years of age.
Create your own fantastically illustrated and imaginatively written story. You’ll learn how to illustrate an idea, choose a fitting style, and draw things you don’t know how to draw plus learn the basics of plot, character, and setting, all using juicy language. You’ll also spend time drawing in the museum. At the end of the week, you’ll take home your own illustrated books.
