Join us Saturday, August 10 for World Lion Day to learn all about these amazing big cats through keeper chats, enrichment and training demonstrations, biofacts, games and more. Hear directly from animal care staff about what it’s like to care for the Zoo’s three African lions – Chester, Zuri, and Asha.
Docent and ZooTeen-led stations will help you learn about the differences between lions and tigers, the threats lions face in nature, and what you can do to help protect them.
For a donation to lion conservation, enter multiple drawings with a chance at winning:
- Enrichment items used by the African lions
- A behind-the-scenes tour
