World Elephant Day
Did you know that Seneca Park Zoo is the ONLY zoo in New York State with African elephants? Come visit the Zoo’s four female African elephants on Saturday, September 7 for World Elephant Day! Enjoy special animal experiences with Moki, Chana, Lilac and Genny C, meet their caretakers, learn about their daily care, and much more.
Learn about the threats that elephants face due to human impact, including the complexities of the ivory trade and poaching, along with human encroachment.
For a donation to elephant conservation, enter multiple drawings for the chance to win:
- A behind-the-scenes experience
- A painting made by one of the elephants
- A Monroe County Family Fun Pack
This event is FREE with Zoo admission.
