Come join Women in Engineering (WE@RIT), as you browse and experience hands-on activities, demonstrations and posters from all disciplines within Kate Gleason College of Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical & MicroElectronic Engineering). Think of this as a buffet of engineering possibilities for girls in grades 5-9, their families, and their educators to explore. What do engineers do? What do they look like? What opportunities are available to them? How does engineering impact society? How can K12 educators tie engineering into their classroom curriculums? Come to the open house and learn! Each activity has an accompanying handout to continue conversations at home. Approximately 25 activities will be presented at the 2018 event. The event opens at 9am, ends at 1pm, and the courtesy of an RSVP is requested. All activities will run continuously in an open house format.
