WE Explore | Kids Out and About Rochester

WE Explore

Open to 4th-6th grade girls, WE Explore offers girls the chance to be a part of two different small group engineering activities led by current female engineering students. Learn about the engineering design process and the societal impact of engineering in a fully hands-on, fun, and interactive way!

Open to 4-6th grade girls, WE Explore is about the hands-on exploration of the engineering design process! Girls will be randomly assigned to two different ~45 minute activities, both of which will be led by KGCOE female engineering students. These small groups will explore the engineering design process in detail while completing an activity and connecting to that activity’s real-world engineering applications. In between small group activities, the whole group will convene for an engineering cinematic experience with popcorn! Visiting girls will leave with a better understanding of what engineering is, the difference it makes, and conversation starters to be used with adults at home. Dress is casual, closed toe shoes required. Registration fee covers all activity material costs.
