*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 02/14/2018
The Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Commemoration Committee and the RIT Big Shot Team invite you and your family to celebrate the 200th birthday of Frederick Douglass.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Shine a light on the famous and beloved statue of Frederick Douglass in Highland Park and assist RIT’s Big Shot photographers in making a memorable, once-in-a-200- year legacy photo.

Bring your own flashlight, or use one of ours, to light up one of Rochester and the nation’s most celebrated leaders, as part of the celebration of this very special year. This event takes place a Highland Bowl in Highland Park.

The resulting photo will be added to No Soil Better: Art and the Living Legacy of Frederick Douglass at RoCo.
