Join us for ta fun winter Saturday - we'll share seeds, enjoy refreshments, hear a couple of fun talks, and practice making our own seed-starting tools. Nancy Marrer from the Penfield Community Victory Garden will demonstrate seed-starting, making your own environmentally friendly paper pots, a couple of really neat methods for creating your own seeds tapes and "square-foot" pre-seeded papers. Then an opportunity to try it yourself!
Instructor, garden designer and author Christine Froehlich (gardeingwithwhatyouhave.com) will present a slide-talk in winter-forcing flowering branches.
This event will be held at Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Road, Penfield. It is co-sponsored by Penfield Community Victory Garden and Flower City Garden Network.
**Bring seeds you've collected or saved (see flowercitygardennetwork.com for seed-saving tips). Join us whether you have seeds to contribute or not--there will be plenty for everyone!
