Sailing Camp Offered by Canandaigua Community Sailing
Camp participants will learn the skills necessary to become competent and independent sailors. This includes rigging, launching and docking, steering, sail trim, and capsize recovery. Racing skills are introduced as students become more experienced. The focus is on fun. Sailing is done primarily in Sunfish sailboats, while more advanced students will focus more on the 420. A Flying Scot and Optimists may also be used. Camp runs daily from 9-4, with early drop-off and late pick-up options available. During 4th of July week, we will run a 3-day family session as well as a separate 3-day teen session.
