Celebrate penguins and discover how AZA facilities like Seneca Park Zoo are working to restore the African penguin population through SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction
Learn about the Zoo’s nationally renowned African penguin breeding program and the threats to this species in their natural range, such as oil spills, habitat depletion, human encroachment, and over-fishing.
Find out how you can help penguin survival with responsible consumerism (Seafood Watch), and discover how the nonprofit organization SANCCOB is working to save penguins in their natural range.
Guests will leave the Zoo with a better understanding of human impact on African Penguins in their natural range, and how individual actions and conservation care can work to prevent these animals from extinction.
