NTID Performing Arts Presents August Wilson's FENCES
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 04/14/2019
“Fences” is a play written by August Wilson that has been described in the New York Post as “One of the richest experiences I have ever had in theatre. I wasn’t just moved, I was transfixed.” and in New York Daily News as “A blockbuster and a major American play.” This sensational drama features Troy Maxson, a former star of the Negro baseball leagues who works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded as a black man from the major leagues during his prime, Troy’s bitterness takes its toll on his relationships with his wife and his son, who now wants his own chance to play ball.
