Notes of Impressionism DeTOUR
Thursday, December 11, 6:00 pm–7:00 pm
$25; $20 for MAG Members
Meet at the Admissions Desk
We will be joined by Grace Browning, Harpist at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and Sean Marron, 2nd Flute, as we explore the music during the Impressionistic time period and how musicians at the time were experimenting with ambiguous harmonies, unique instrumental timbres, and evocative moods rather than traditional structures. We will examine the art in the Frontiers of Impressionism: Paintings from the Worcester Art Museum exhibition and then will hear music from Grace and Sean in the exhibition space.
To submit a request for ASL interpretation, please email access@mag.rochester.edu at least two weeks before the tour.
For questions about this event, please contact MAG Engagement Manager Jessica Gasbarre at jgasbarre@mag.rochester.edu. Ticket sales end on Thursday, December 11, at 6:15 pm. Ticket includes DeTOUR℠ and museum admission.
