Echoes Across Time | This program explores the ways composers have drawn inspiration from memory, poetry, and musical traditions of earlier eras. Claude Debussy’s Petite Suite captures the elegance and charm of French musical impressionism through graceful dances and vivid orchestral colors. Gabriel Fauré’s Pelléas et Mélisande, written as incidental music for Maurice Maeterlinck’s symbolist drama, evokes a world of mystery, tenderness, and quiet beauty. Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 1 transforms Renaissance and early Baroque melodies into rich orchestral works, bridging centuries of musical history.
