You’re invited to spend a day exploring how wildlife art helps us see the natural world in new and meaningful ways. Through talks led by artists and conservation experts, you’ll take a closer look at the John L. Wehle Gallery’s wildlife collection and learn how artwork can spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and encourage a closer relationship with the animals and landscapes around us.
Following the program, you are welcome to join one of two immersive experiences. These experiences blend art and firsthand experiences for a chance to connect what you see in the gallery with the living landscape just outside its doors.
Along the way, you’ll hear from Traditional Storyteller and Cultural Educator Perry Strong (Onondaga, Turtle Clan), Marcus Rosten of WNY Wildway, and illustrator Katelyn Davis. Your ticket covers the full program, along with a continental breakfast and lunch as well as the optional immersive experiences.
