Native American Winter Games 2022

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 02/26/2022
Winter was a busy time for the Seneca people who lived at Ganondagan in the 17th-century. Learn what life was like by experiencing traditional Seneca activities for yourself, your family and friends! Outdoors, learn how to play the competitive game of snowsnake, meet the sled dogs and watch a dog sled demonstration, race small snowboats (akin to Pinewood Derby), watch maple sugar demonstrations, and bring snowshoes to walk the trails. Inside, enjoy storytelling, traditional Seneca games, children's activities, Indigenous food, the exhibit gallery, film and more! This event is free and open to the public. Suggested donation $10/family, $5/individual. Event is sponsored by the Rochester Area Community Foundation.
