Grand Opening Weekend: iSmash Rochester
Something Rochester has never seen is about to open its doors. On Saturday, October 10th, iSmash Rochester unveils three brand-new immersive digital game rooms — a first-of-their-kind experience for the region — and we're kicking it off with a grand opening celebration all weekend long.
Doors open at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 10th, with the celebration running through Sunday, October 11th. All three rooms will be live, fully operational, and open to play.
Here's what you'll step into:
Floor Frenzy — The floor-is-lava, completely reimagined. The room fills with colorful, touch-sensitive LED tiles. Step on the right ones, avoid the wrong ones, and survive each round as the pace speeds up and the levels get harder. Games are scored with live public leaderboards, so you can work together as a team — or watch your crew get eliminated one by one.
Optic Breach — Dodging lasers is no longer a movie fantasy. Tactically maneuver your way through a web of motion-sensitive beams across the walls, floor, and ceiling. Run, jump, duck, and crawl your way to victory with your team, and bring your A-game — the intensity climbs with every level.
Target Lock — Race the clock to press the targets scattered throughout the room and advance to the next level. But stay sharp: you'll need to avoid the "Evil Eye" by hiding behind the pillar at the center of the room. If it spots you, you're done. You and your team will have to spread out and strategize to make it through.
Every room is built for groups — teams, families, date nights, birthday crews, and friendly rivalries. Whether you're competing for the top of the leaderboard or just here for the fun, this is a new kind of entertainment for Rochester.
And the games are only part of it. All grand opening weekend, we're bringing the full experience: special guests and local content creators, giveaways, vendors, free food and drink, ice cream, and much more.
The best part: all weekend long, admission is just $5 per person. Availability is extremely limited — each room holds a set number of players per session, and at this price, spots will go fast.
Online booking isn't open just yet, so be on the lookout. Follow along and stay tuned for the announcement — you'll want to reserve your spot the moment reservations go live.
The new age of entertainment is here, and it's coming home to Rochester. We can't wait to see you October 10th.
