Intro to Winter Wilderness Survival | Kids Out and About Rochester

Intro to Winter Wilderness Survival

At EarthWorks Institute, we believe the best way to get students engaged in learning is to take a hands-on approach. Our programs are taught through time-honored mentoring experiences to create a very special kind of outdoor learning experience.

Intro to Wilderness Survival | Fairport, NY
Group Size 3 – 8, $20/person

During this three hour workshop, you’ll learn ancient methods used by humans for tens of thousands of years. Our Forest Guides will teach you the basics of:

–     Water purification
–     Carving & fire building
–     Creating primitive tools
–     Friction fire methods
–     Seasonal foraging & more

You can expect a few challenges because this class will take place entirely outdoors. Participants must be at least seven years of age to participate.
