Haudenosaunee Heritage Celebration Day 2025

Join us for Haudenosaunee Heritage Celebration Day, in collaboration with Friends of Ganondagan Program Director Jeanette Jemison (Mohawk, Snipe Clan)! Enjoy free museum admission, live dances and demonstrations with the Allegany River Seneca Dancers led by Bill Crouse (Seneca, Hawk Clan), storytelling with Ronnie Reitter (Seneca, Wolf Clan), display tables, history, culture, celebration, and more.
M&T Bank Ballroom
12–12:45 pm - Storytelling with Ronnie Reitter (Seneca, Wolf Clan)
1–1:45 pm - Haudenosaunee music & instruments with Bill Crouse, Sr. (Seneca, Hawk Clan)
2–2:45 pm - Hoop Dancing
3–3:45 pm - Haudenosaunee Social Dance Performance with the Allegany River Indian Dancers, and participatory dance
Vanden Brul Pavilion
12–3 pm - Wampum belt display table and hands-on activity with educator Rich Hamell
12–3 pm - Haudenosaunee as First Recyclers with educators from Ganondagan
12–3 pm - Haudenosaunee Finger weaving demonstration and hands-on activity with Kristin Asche (Seneca) and Allie Hargrave (Oneida)
1:30–2:30 pm - Corn Husk Activity with Ronnie Reitter (Seneca, Wolf Clan)
