As the Planetarium re-opens after renovation, the Star Theater becomes the bridge of our starship. Introducing the new Digistar 6 system, we depart from Rochester to visit favorite planets and stars, accurately shown with virtual 3-D models. Then we return to Earth to preview the 2024 solar eclipse and descend to the micro world of molecules and atoms. “Carl,” the original star projector, also makes an appearance.
Families can enjoy other activities in the Planetarium lobby and Science Museum, including photo opportunities, space-themed make-and-take crafts, Mars rover demos, and more!
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 4.
Strasenburgh Planetarium 50th Anniversary Solar System Sponsors are Imagine Monroe, Key Bank, and Veluxsys by Precision OT.
