Fun With Fiction Writing and Comedy Improv
Fun With Fiction Writing:
Don’t you love the way a good book draws you in from the first
line? Is your imagination full of ideas for exciting plots? Maybe
you have a pile of stories you’ve already written. You will be
led through engaging writing exercises to get the imagination
churning, as well as lessons in the craft of writing: how to flesh
out your characters, keep the action moving, and create
believable made-up worlds. Bring a lunch and a notebook, and
let’s get writing!
In this 2-day workshop, students will learn the basic rules of
improvisation and some basic comedy techniques, and a
variety of theatre games and comedy improv games such as
those featured on the television show, Whose Line is it
Anyway? The class will present some of their favorite games
for family members at the end of the second day.
