The Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library raises public and private funds,and provides programming to support the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County and the Rochester Public Library.

Coming to the St. Patrick's Day Parade? Plan to stop by Central Library afterward for family-friendly Irish fiddling and some browsing at the HUGE Used Book Sale!

The Friends & Foundation of the Rochester Public Library is holding its annual HUGE Used Book Sale over St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Kate Gleason Auditorium at the Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building, 115 South Avenue in downtown Rochester.  Thousands of books are sorted by category and range in price from 25¢ to $1.00. CDs, LPs, DVDs, VHS, and periodicals are also available. All proceeds from the sale support the Rochester Public Library.

 

  • Thursday, March 13, 11am - 3pm – Preview Sale. Free admission for Friends & Foundation donors; others will be admitted with a minimum $5.00 contribution onsite.

  • Thursday, March 13, 3 - 7pm – Regular Sale, free and open to the public.                

  • Friday, March 14, 10am - 5pm – Regular Sale, free and open to the public.

  • Saturday, March 15, PARADE DAY!, 10am - 5pm – 50% Off Sale, free and open to the public. After the Parade, come by the Sale and enjoy Irish tunes by fiddler Kit Fallon from 2 - 3pm!

  • Sunday, March 16, 1 - 4pm – Clearance Sale: $3.00 for a bag of books, free and open to the public.
