Environmental Science Summer Camp
Are you interested in the interactions in the natural world?
Spend a week in field and in the lab, learning techniques used by environmental scientists to assess ecosystems and populations.
- Practice field techniques in surveying populations in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems as well as water quality assessment.
- Participate in citizen science data collection for the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation as well as the Empire State Native Pollinator Study.
- Learn more about our local ecosystem trees and flowers, and compare past and present data to look at changes in ecosystems.
- Explore careers, ethical issues, and case studies in the field of environmental science.
The camp runs Monday - Friday the week of July 22, 2019.
Open to high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in the fall of 2019.
