Environmental Science Summer Camp

Get out of the house this summer and learn a lot more about ecosystems and populations at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Are you interested in the interactions in the natural world?

 

Spend a week in field and in the lab, learning techniques used by environmental scientists to assess ecosystems and populations. 

  • Practice field techniques in surveying populations in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems as well as water quality assessment.
  • Participate in citizen science data collection for the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation as well as the Empire State Native Pollinator Study.
  • Learn more about our local ecosystem trees and flowers, and compare past and present data to look at changes in ecosystems.
  • Explore careers, ethical issues, and case studies in the field of environmental science.
  • The camp runs Monday - Friday the week of July 22, 2019. 

    Open to high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in the fall of 2019.
