Join Genesee Land Trust partner Lake Plains Waterfowl Association for a late morning talk about ducks that are found in New York state. Which ducks are most common around Rochester? What’s the difference between a ‘dabbling’ duck and a ‘diving’ duck? What do ducks do in the winter? Lake Plains Waterfowl Association experts will answer these questions and more along with showing off a number of mounted ducks they keep. After the classroom session, we’ll take a short walk at Island Cottage Woods Preserve to learn about habitat requirements for wood ducks.
This event is limited to 20 participants, please register below to reserve your spot.
